Facebook Login-O-Rama

Today I was reading an article on cracked.com about the internet and one section was about facebook. It mentioned an incident that occurred in February of this year.

Someone had written a blog article about a recent partnership between facebook and AOL that allows you to use your facebook login on AIM. The article quickly became the top search result in Google searches for “facebook login.”

It turns out that there is an unprecedented amount of people whose sole gateway to facebook is searching for “facebook login” in their browser search bar and then clicking on the top search result. So, on February 10th, when a bunch of crazies arrived at what they thought was facebook and couldn’t login, panic ensued. Sheer, utter panic. (Don’t bother actually reading the article, just scroll through the comments.) (This is just too funny.)

  1. That’s a great follow-up article. I think I know a few people who fall into the category described, but I won’t name any names. ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. This is hilarious! I mean, I can see a few seniors being confused, but this many idiots?!? Good news — I didn’t see any of my FB friends among them. ๐Ÿ™‚
